Downloading source code
openLCA is an open source project. The soure code is available at our sourceforge site www.sourceforge.net/projects/openlca for free.
Several packages are available, a compiled version, bin, and the source code.
The source code can be started from an Eclipse IDE; you should download it
- if you want to inspect „what we have done”, in detail;
- if you think about contributing, or
- if you simply want to modify something in the application so that it really fits your needs.
The compiled version is ideal if you simply want to use a practical Life Cycle Assessment application at no cost.
Both resources are stored in sourceforge „forever”; therefore you can come back later to try the other option. Of course you can also download both.
The format converter to convert data from one format into the other for various important LCA formats, was released in August 2007. It is available at the sourceforge site as separate open source application.
