The open openLCA LCA conference, openLCA.conf, will happen again in Berlin on the 21-23 April 2026.
Already in its third edition, the conference has proven not only to bring state-of-the-art LCA discussions but also to include strong sessions on tool and database development. The event brings together openLCA users and those interested, creating a great space for sharing and learning. Take a look at openLCA.conf ’25 here: /openlca-conference-25/
We would like to bring special attention to session proposals for the conference next year. The aim is to also incorporate sessions with a main focus on discussion and interaction this time. We thought of 4 types of sessions in total:
- Topic session – Different live talk presentations over a common topic, e.g. agriculture, Circular Economy, construction, etc. The session can also be interactive with the audience.
- Challenge session – A session meant to be interactive in its core, bringing people together to explore, discuss and brainstorm over a specific topic. The format can be mixed.
- Project session – Project sessions offer a platform for working teams such as research groups to present multiple aspects of their work within the same session. The session should be informative and can also be interactive.
- Panel Discussion – A session where different professionals can join a panel and a debate over a certain topic. The audience may also interact with the panel through questions.
