This release adds 16,000+ new datasets, bringing the database to 135,000+ datasets across 220+ countries and regions. It also expands coverage with 210+ new chemicals, increasing the total to 1,700+ materials.
All datasets are updated to the 2024 reference year. The release also includes updated energy data, global trade flows and chemical production data, reflecting updated’s supply chains and production technologies.
The Carbon Minds methodology, certified by TÜV Rheinland, now also covers the GHG Protocol Product Standard, the WBCSD Life Cycle Metrics for Chemical Products, and PAS 2090 for Pharmaceutical products. This is in addition to ISO 14040/44/67, TfS v3.0, and UEIL/ATIEL v1.2.
The database is available on openLCA Nexus and fully integrated in openLCA.
