Among the several highlights we would like to share are the keynotes from Nicola Ferrara (Joint Research Centre) and Andreas Ciroth (GreenDelta GmbH – full video of the keynote here), technical sessions on database and LCI dataset creation, social LCA, and the application of system dynamics in LCA.
This year, we also introduced something new: the interactive “challenge sessions”, where participants worked together to begin tackling some of the biggest challenges facing the field, from making LCA business-relevant to addressing the modelling of biogenic carbon in LCA and supporting the adoption of LCA in the Global South. We believe it was a valuable chance to collect different perspectives and ideas and work toward a shared approach to the challenges we face as a community.
Of course, we also made time to get to know each other in more informal settings, with both our conference dinner at Hallesches Haus (complete with live techno music!) and our apero at ufaFabrik.
openLCA.conf 2027
We have already set the dates for 2027: on April 28 and 29 we will host the fourth edition of openLCA.conf! We will post further information on the official website and LinkedIn .
