A new version of our software, openLCA 2.6.1, is now available for users.
Improved features
User interface
We improved the user interface, for example adjusting the size of the search box on certain display resolutions and refining the dark mode theme.
Regionalized LCIA
The most significant update is the major memory reduction for regionalized impact assessment. Previously, this calculation required a large amount of memory and could be challenging for some users. Now, it requires significantly less memory and runs more smoothly. Overall, users can expect faster calculations, including direct impact calculations.
Bug fixes
We focused on fixing some bugs from v2.6.0 to make the user experience even smoother. This includes, but is not limited to, easier deletion of process chains in the graphical editor and better support for opening Python scripts on macOS & Linux.

Once the new update is running, you can double click on a database to open it (as usual) and it will automatically upgrade to the new version.
