Parameters

Whenever values are to be defined in openLCA (e.g. defining the inputs/outputs for a process) it can be done via typing in the concrete value, using a formula or using complex calculation rules. The use of parameters is available in different levels, i.e. database (global), process, product system, project and even impact assessment method.

Before using a parameter it has to be defined first which means a default value has to be assigned to it. Parameters can also be defined dependent on other parameters.

Hint! Use the formula interpreter to check the functions you want to include in dependent parameters.

For sensitivity analysis, different set-ups of parameters can be defined in a project.
